Even though I have classed this toadstool as belonging to Alcyoniidae, I’m not sure it is. Either that or it’s a teenage version as the slightest thing can seemingly make it retract its polyps which goes against the consensus of how this toadstool should behave. Water conditions are fine, incidentally it seems to enjoy a water change. But what is interesting is that it’s starting to frag. I thought that it was about to capitulate when I saw the hole appear but a little research convinced me that it is trying to split and I’m about to become the proud owner of a second toadstool. The process is slower than I thought but watch this space for updates.
