Nano Tank Daily Report: Day 125
After the unfortunate death of my Green Bubble Tip Anemone, I decided that because of my Nano Reef set up with the two powerheads positioned as they are it might be wise to maybe steer clear of anemones for a while. I need to fill the rock space a bit more and I have added:
- Jedi Montipora
- Red Acan
- Red Whip Coral
I will, link those up with the relevant pages once I have a moment (never try and create a website for your tank – it takes bloody ages to stay on top of it!) Tank life is looking good everything seems to be feeding ok. You will see at the front that the Slipper (Tongue) Coral is getting really big and I may have to re-home it. The Toadstool is still slowly fragging itself and I also need to update this.
Life:
Apart from the new coral, the Life factor has been the appearance of small shrimps that are growing and living in the sump area. I first caught one eating the remains of the anemone and when I cleaned the filter sponges this week I spotted a couple more. I still don’t really know what they are. I have tried searching google but nothing really comes up as a match other than….brown shrimp! (“,).
So if anyone dropping by knows what small brown shrimp can be expected to live in a Reef Tank I would love to know.
When I started this Nano Reef I thought I would be satisfied with the tank but as anyone knows that has owned a Reef Tank – you always want to try and create another tank using all the lessons that you have learned. I would love another tank….
Coral:
Acropora has turned brown – will probably look to introduce some roti.
